Avanti West Coast has continued its partnership with an award-winning local patisserie to serve up a summer treat for First Class customers.
West Midlands based Beaumont Patisserie, who were named the best in the region at the English Business Awards last year, have produced an Eton Mess dessert for the intercity operator’s summer menu.
The classic dessert, which consists of strawberries, cream and meringue, will be available to First Class customers from 1 July until the autumn to celebrate the British summer. To make the pudding Beaumont is expecting to use approximately a tonne of strawberries and a tonne of cream.
Avanti West Coast began working with Beaumont Patisserie in 2022 after the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Over the four years their onboard desserts have proved popular with customers. These have included its recent Apple and Blueberry Crumble, and Tangy Lemon and Elderflower Posset.
The company also supply cakes to the London Euston First Class Lounge for afternoon tea, including mini strawberry choux buns and key lime pies, as well as cheese and tomato cruffins – which was commended at the Food Innovation Awards March 2026.
Beaumont Patisserie was founded in 2015 by Yavor Kostadinov, a former Head Baker and Head Chef with over 35 years’ experience in the food industry. Over the past decade the patisserie has grown into an award-winning dessert manufacturer supplying hospitality and travel customers across the UK, as well as having its own cake shop in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Rob Taylor, Food and Beverage Development Manager at Avanti West Coast said: “Building upon our four-year long working relationship with the award-winning Beaumont Patisserie, we are pleased to team up once again to deliver a unique, special dessert for First Class customers this summer.
“Yavor and his small team are renowned across the West Midlands for their delicious, top-quality cakes and sweet treats, and I am pleased to see this new Eton Mess to be served onboard.”
“We take great pride in working in partnership with food and drink suppliers along our route, building on our commitment to champion their businesses and deliver exclusive, top quality items direct to our customers.”
Yavor Kostadinov, Director and Founder of Beaumont Patisserie said: “Working with Avanti West Coast has been a real opportunity for us to grow as a patisserie in terms of business and the quality and creative ideas for desserts that Avanti want for their customers. We are pleased and proud to share our desserts with their customers.”
