Avanti West Coast is giving one lucky married-couple-to-be a helping hand, with the launch of a competition to win a once in a lifetime wedding ceremony onboard its ‘Marriage Carriage’ this August.

Bringing friends and family safely together, couples can enter the competition online to be in with the chance of winning their dream day, complete with a bouquet and buttonholes, a wedding cake to cut and outfits to wow, free of charge.

With marriage plans derailed for hundreds of thousands of couples over the last 18 months, the news that weddings could start to go ahead from 21 June, if adhering to Government guidelines, was a huge relief for many.

So, on 10 August 2021, Avanti West Coast will bring people together to celebrate in style. Hosting a wedding party of up to 20 people, including the lucky couple and Wedding Celebrant, the Marriage Carriage will be stylishly decorated, with beautiful bridal flowers, a delicious cake, and outfits provided for the lucky couple.  Suppliers that fall on the Avanti West Coast route, including London based Morgan Davies Bridal and Flint based The Pudding Compartment, are supporting the Marriage Carriage with dress for the bride to be and wedding cake respectively. Measures will be in place to ensure the experience is both safe and enjoyable for all.

The Marriage Carriage will be departing from London Euston at 10:59am on 10 August 2021. The lucky couple will be married en-route to Birmingham New Street, where they’ll enjoy a photo stop before arriving back to London as newlyweds at 3:18pm. A celebratory wedding reception including first class wedding breakfast will be provided onboard the train, and the ceremony and celebrations will be captured on video, so the lucky couple can re-live their special day again and again.

The competition runs from Friday 16^th July 2021 to Monday 26^th July 2021, when a panel of judges, inclusive of an Avanti West Coast frontline worker, will review the entries and pick the lucky married couple-to-be, based on their responses.
