Avanti West Coast has partnered with a local brewery to serve a beer branded exclusively as part of its First Class menu.
Working with Staffordshire-based, multi award-winning Titanic Brewery, the intercity operator has introduced an Indian Pale Ale (IPA) to its complimentary onboard food and beverage offering.
The beer, which is described by the brewery as being ‘a full-flavoured refreshing session IPA’, is part of Titanic’s flagship range. It has been named exclusively ‘First Class IPA’ and is available in a unique branded can, which features a train within the label design.
The collaboration supports Avanti West Coast’s commitment to work with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) local to its route. First Class IPA is brewed less than five miles from Stoke-on-Trent, supporting 50 jobs in region.
The launch of the First Class IPA follows the train operator’s work with Titanic Brewery in 2025 through its Guest Ale feature, which highlights brews from across the West Coast.
Titanic Brewery’s Centenary Anniversary Ale was available onboard Avanti West Coast’s services for a limited time from June 2025, marking 100 years since Stoke-on-Trent became a city.
Rob Taylor, Food and Beverage Development Manager at Avanti West Coast, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Titanic Brewery to serve a local beer as part of our First Class menu. This collaboration supports our efforts to champion SMEs across our route and complements other exclusive produce onboard. Titanic Brewery’s beers have been popular with our customers, so it’s great to welcome a new brew which can be sipped while whizzing along the west coast at 125mph.”
Keith Bott MBE, Director at Titanic Brewery, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have our First Class IPA onboard Avanti’s trains. Enjoying a beer as the countryside flashes past is incredibly exciting. We have been brewing beer, using only the finest ingredients, in Stoke-on-Trent for 40 years. Now for our beer to be available aboard the very trains that run through our city is wonderful. It’s been especially rewarding to hear directly from passengers who’ve enjoyed one of our beers as part of their journey home — those moments really bring home the value of partnerships like this.”
